Anforderungen:
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage the day to day responsibilities of the financial accounting staff
- Responsible for the development needs of the financial accounting staff
- Manage all accounting, including the cash book (if it is in place), bank reconciliation, processing of receipts and payments and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Operate the general, sales and purchase ledgers and fixed asset register in accordance with agreed procedures and make recommendations for improved controls and procedures
- Ensure that all transactions are entered correctly into the accounting systems in accordance with the agreed month end timetables and reporting all unusual transactions or processes to the Head of Finance
- Plan and manage the annual accounts closure within agreed timetables to facilitate the audit and reporting of the accounts to the auditors as well as assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements
- Prepare VAT and other statutory returns. To advise on correct VAT treatment for income and expenditure to minimize the VAT liability
- Assist internal and external auditors in the execution of their duties
Education & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (similar to ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) “Bilanzbuchhalter”
Knowledge:
- Current finance legislation and its day to day practical application
- Financial management in a complex international orientated organization
- Modern accounting systems and the application of IT to improve processes
- Advanced spreadsheet functionality
- Fluent in German and English |
